Controls Engineer (Engineering)
What you will do
This position is for a Controls Engineer for a grid stamping manufacturing process, providing technical leadership, working autonomously, and providing support to manufacturing operations and maintenance functions by troubleshooting and making design improvements to a wide variety of manufacturing equipment
How you will do it
Program and troubleshoot PLC controls and HMIs for proper function.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Modify and develop electrical and electronic drawings (AutoCAD) for equipment and facilities following standard drawing and electrical practices.
Lead verification of electrical safety in equipment design for equipment launch.
Keep equipment drawings current and accurate.
Lead downtime resolution and perform root cause failure analysis.
Assist and direct outside contractors as required.
Keep equipment operational by working with maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
Assist equipment manufacturer in equipment programming updates as required.
Assist maintenance and engineering to ensuring customer expectations and KPIs are exceeded.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management teams.
What we look for
B.S. in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechatronics engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
Experience in a plant manufacturing environment
Proficiency in PLC, HMI programming/troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley)
Proficiency in drive programming and troubleshooting
