Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Professional Surveyor/Survey Manager to join our team in Columbus or Cincinnati OH
In this position, you will have the opportunity to utilize your survey and management skills and experience working in a collaborative team environment supporting survey and engineering projects and staff by performing and leading a team to complete survey related calculations, produce survey plats and other legal instruments and prepare design/topographic base maps. Additional tasks include deed research, write legal descriptions, and process survey data collected from our field teams. The role is a Hybrid position with 3 days a week in office.

This position is responsible for receiving and evaluating survey assignments, processing, and evaluating field data and CAD preparation of final mapping. Final mapping may include boundary, topographic, planimetric or design related deliverables.

This position requires knowledge of field-to-finish processing of survey data. You should be detail oriented, able to work decisively, possess a strong willingness to collaborate with other team members, be attentive to quality and willing to take on responsibility. You will be presented with leading edge technology and access to state-of-the art software tools.

Role accountabilities:

• Ability to deliver the superior quality and accuracy in work demanded by our high-level clients.
• Perform QA/QC and technical review of survey deliverables.
• Perform survey related calculations using standards established by federal, state, and local regulations
• Proficient in processing and mapping survey field data
• Possess strong CAD production skills, with a keen eye toward quality control and accuracy
• Assist other survey staff and find solutions to both complex and simple problems.
• Interprets engineering related documents and digital files.
• Develop geospatial tasks ,procedures, integrating scanning & drone technology into current workflow
• Team with the business development group to develop new markets and clients

Qualifications & Experience:

• 12 or more years' experience in Surveying including a minimum of 5 years' experience in responsible charge of complex field-to-finish survey deliverables.
• Professional Surveyor license in Ohio
• Knowledge of GPS, total stations & digital levels a plus
• Experience with Civil 3D
• Experience with Microstation
• Knowledge in using ArcGIS applications / ESRI

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $160,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
