Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Inspector (R&D)

How Will You Make an Impact?
As an Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all incoming materials and components meet Customer and Jabil quality standards. Your attention to detail and expertise in inspection processes will help maintain high-quality production, reduce defects, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
What Will You Do?
Perform incoming quality inspections on materials used in manufacturing.
Support logistics and staging of incoming materials, ensuring proper identification of released and non-conforming (NC) materials.
Verify material conformance to drawing specifications and industry standards.
Interpret and apply company and industry specifications or standards to inspections.
Review material specifications and drawings to identify Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) characteristics for verification.
Document inspection results and collaborate with internal teams to address quality concerns.
How Will You Get Here?
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical certification or coursework in quality control, manufacturing, or engineering is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience in electronics, custom mechanical, and sub-assembly component inspections.
Hands-on experience performing incoming inspections in a manufacturing or quality control environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, etc.
Strong understanding of material specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
Ability to identify and verify Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) characteristics.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Prior training or certification in quality control, Six Sigma, or ISO standards.
Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
