Maintenance Manager (Maintenance)

Manages the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment of the two sites by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturers instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.Responsible for managing the inventory of spare parts and supplies needed to perform necessary maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities.Ensures the correct spare parts are readily available to address repairs and prevent downtime; this includes monitoring inventory levels and ordering new parts when necessary to maintain operational efficiency.Supports, manages, and evaluates the department personnel in their performance, training, and development while prioritizing job tasks and work assignments.Primary on-site contact for IT and Maintenance Support.Managing and documenting daily maintenance procedures and activities.Oversees daily inspections and preventative maintenance of all equipment and facilities. Coordinates the emergency call process for all equipment, including troubleshooting and identifying the root cause of problems, and repairing.Executes the processes for emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during operating hours and scheduled maintenance of equipment during non-operating times.Assures quality execution of all maintenance activities while ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.Optimizes costs through effective budget planning and management.Executes and provides support for equipment modifications related to safety, new installations, or equipment improvements.Maintains the facilities and equipment per good manufacturing practices to meet the expectations of operations and safety requirements.Partners with operations on the implementation of equipment and manufacturing projects, and process improvements, including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation of projects.Performs administrative duties, including reports, creating documents, and reviews.Responsible for ensuring that all company and customer requirements are met, including but not limited to all KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).Participate in all TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives.

While performing this job, the employee must regularly communicate verbally and listen regularly. They will often need to stand, walk, and use their hands for tasks, which may include gripping, handling, or feeling objects, as well as reaching with their hands and arms. Occasionally, the associate may need to lift items weighing up to 51 pounds, while any weight greater than 51 pounds will require assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This job is performed in a complex manufacturing environment with multiple workstations,heavy machinery and frequent forklift traffic. The facility is subject to seasonal temperature changes. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes and any additional equipment as specified by company safety guidelines. The work will be divided between office and manufacturing settings.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-Time, Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required, as is on-call
availability.
Travel
This role requires splitting time between two primary locations approximately two hours apart. Up to 50% of the travel commitment is expected to be travel between sites, including routine travel to ensure effective management and collaboration.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing), Business Administration/Management, Facilities Management or a related technical field.10+ years of maintenance experience in a complex manufacturing environment with 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. Multi-site maintenance and/or leadership experience is preferred. Additional 3PL or Supply Chain experience preferred. Electrical, mechanical, and mechatronic engineering experience required with general working knowledge of PLCs and robotic maintenance.Hands-on knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, CMMS software, automation, hydraulics and pneumatics. Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM), Leax Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) or other related certifications preferred.Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, PFMEA experience is a plus)Proven experience in spare parts inventory management within a manufacturing setting.
