E-Commerce Channel Manager
The channel manager will be responsible for leading and developing market and account strategies and promotions that drive sales and market share growth. This includes developing a cross-functional vision with short- and long-term strategic channel objectives and executing plans to achieve those objectives. The role acts as a liaison between internal functions and external customers and sales teams to set market and account strategies and manage execution.
Strategic Planning:
-Harmonize sales and marketing plans and budget
-Develop and execute channel strategies aligned with the company's overall strategic roadmap
-Oversee strategic initiatives with key E-commerce channels
-Coordinate and oversee the customer line review process with Sales, Finance, Brand, and Product teams
-Improve profitability by working cross-functionally with AME, Engineering, and Product teams
Merchant Mindset:
-Meet with top channel partners to understand their initiatives and programming requirements, and develop action plans
- Lead, develop, and execute an annual promotional calendar to maximize revenue, working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Brand, Product, and E-commerce teams
-Implement processes and best practices to align with evolving channel partner requirements
-Manage promotional pricing and price increases to avoid cross-customer conflicts and maximize profits
-Assist product teams with market research, mix analysis, and competitive insights
Product Lifecycle Planning:
- Actively manage customers' promotional inventory and ad spend
- Oversee Excess & Obsolete process and identify sales opportunities/channels for derivatives
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure accurate pricing for new product introductions and price changes
Proven Analytic Ability:
- Develop reporting tools and disseminate data, findings, and insights to evaluate performance.
- Track and communicate the effectiveness of promotions, merchandising, and competitive activities
- Prepare business insight reports to leverage synergies between e-commerce accounts using systems such as MySamm, vendor portals, etc.
- Monitor online activity to ensure Hunter leads with world-class content that supports sales growth
- Utilize Google Analytics and SEO/SEM best practices to optimize performance and drive growth
Product Launch Excellence:
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Industrial Design, and Engineering to identify channel gaps and promotional opportunities
- Develop consumer-friendly promotions that maximize sales and brand recognition
- Ensure product content and specifications are aligned with promotional efforts
- Work with Brand and Design teams to enhance product launch materials and messaging
Education/Experience Requirements
- BA required; MBA and related Merchant, Sales, or Channel Marketing experience preferred
- Prior pricing and/or market analysis experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Salsify (writing formulas, pulling reports, adding properties/fields) preferred
- Experience developing long-term strategies in B2B or B2C environments preferred

- Strong organizational, time management, and deadline-driven skills
- Strong business acumen and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong administrative skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, SaaS, and vendor portal systems
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, including overnight and possibly some weekend work
- Ability to work within set budgets
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on a ladder
- Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electricity
