The Equifax Instructional Designer, Regulated Services is responsible for the design, development, distribution, and maintenance of training curricula for instructor-led, self-paced, and blended learning solutions. This role reports to the D2C Instructional Design Manager and is part of the USIS Call Center Operations team. This team member collaborates with members of the D2C Learning and Development (L&D) team, Quality team, and vendor L&D teams and is responsible for determining learning needs with the objective to design and develop solutions that enable expected performance.
What you'll do
Leverage leadership and decision-making skills to proactively resolve training needs and gaps, with a primary focus on Regulated Services, while exhibiting professional, sound judgment.
Serve as a liaison between the D2C L&D team and vendor/partner training teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in Regulated Services training content.
Design and develop interactive, scenario-based, blended learning assets and solutions including instructor-led and self-paced training, elearning storyboards, microlearning, simulations, facilitator and participant guides, infographics, and job aids using adult learning principles.
Use advanced instructional design modalities and expertise to conduct needs analysis, identify actionable learning objectives, manage stakeholders, create organized content outlines, and present solutions that solve performance gaps.
Perform audience analysis and needs analysis to determine training requirements including learning objectives, goals, and metrics.
Use superior project planning skills to manage incoming design requests including analyzing policy and process information, creating a project plan, and designing learning solutions.
Manage learning projects from analysis through implementation to include maintaining documentation throughout the curriculum design lifecycle.
Translate business requirements into digestible learning solutions that effectively explain the technical complexities of systems and processes.
Build and analyze multi-level surveys and assessments that gauge if critical skills and competencies are met.
Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions with the training delivery team in order to execute training programs.
Facilitate ongoing monitoring and evaluation of courses for instructional fitness and content accuracy and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Consult in cross-functional teams and projects to identify knowledge, skills, and performance gaps and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
Observe and evaluate third-party trainer performance in the use of Equifax training curricula.
Assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced team members through troubleshooting, workshops, and one-on-one support.
What experience you need
Bachelor's degree or higher in an area of instructional design or adult learning theory or related field
Minimum of five years of relevant, full-time experience designing and developing complex blended learning solutions that follow adult learning principles
Ability to quickly establish strong working relationships with all levels of personnel across multiple departments
Ability to independently design, develop, and evaluate new courses and programs
Knowledge and experience with eLearning storyboard design and development
adhering to deadlines for multiple initiatives
Knowledge of assessment and evaluation strategies
Experience with needs analysis, project management, and training program evaluation
Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all functional areas
Strong attention to detail, multitasking, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to respond to routine multi-tasking as well as complex, unplanned issues while
Ability to independently research issues, gather evidence, and determine training requirements
Consistent with Equifax's 3/2+2 flexible work framework, a willingness to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in Equifax's Atlanta-based office
