The Human Resources Generalist II is responsible for handling various HR-related tasks at a professional level while working closely with the HR Manager. Key responsibilities include serving as a backup for payroll processing, managing benefits administration, overseeing leaves of absence, implementing policies, facilitating training, ensuring safety and workers' compensation compliance, and adhering to employment laws. Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including transitional work and accommodationsSupports the payroll administrator including, but not limited to, employment changes, leaves of absence, and payroll functionsReviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training.Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations when necessary.Maintain personnel files in compliance with legal requirements, keeping employees records up to date and accurate.Work cooperatively with all staff members and outside sources in a professional manner to deliver a high level of service.Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Proactively maintain a positive work environment that supports an open-door policy.
