Seasonal Science Communicator (Education)
General Statement:
The Science Communicator supports the Fleet Mission Statement and Visitor Experience Philosophy by providing educational programming designed for school groups and public audiences both at the Fleet and out in the community. This is a temporary seasonal position which will facilitate workshops, camps, shows, youth and adult programs, outreach programs, and exhibit experiences, and will assist with developing the curriculum for these programs.
This position will also conduct informal educational demonstrations and activities on the gallery floor, assist in the management of our exhibit facilitation program, and ensure the safe operation of our ball pool and other interactive experiences on our gallery floor.

General Duties:
Tools and equipment used to perform this position: Personal computer using Microsoft software, telephone.
Supervision, direction, or guidance provided for this position: Performs duties with limited supervision. Supervision required to review priorities.
Physical Requirements of this Position:
Medium Work: Position involves the ability to frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
