Community Program Specialist I (Finance)

Position Summary 1 : We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Customer Service Representative Support Coordinator with strong project management and case management experience to oversee customer service operations across multiple remote sites. This role will involve coordinating processes, policies, and procedures for customer service teams, establishing effective communication channels between satellite locations and the main office, and fostering a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate will excel in project management, ensuring that data is collected, reported, and acted upon in a structured manner, while troubleshooting and resolving operational issues to improve service delivery. Under general supervision, this position will develop and implement plans to empower teams, improve efficiency, and enhance team performance.
Position Summary 2: The Customer Service Representative Support Coordinator will play a key role in managing and supporting remote customer service teams. This position requires a generalist with a strong focus on project management, case management, and process improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, leading daily huddles, and ensuring teams follow through with tasks and actions. With a focus on consistency, relationship-building, and communication, this role is critical in helping teams become more data-driven, remove barriers, and continuously improve customer service operations. The role also involves developing and implementing public program and awareness plans to address community issues, while empowering individuals to improve their quality of life or become self-sufficient. Travel to remote sites is required to support and mentor teams in adopting best practices.
A competitive candidate will have strong project management, troubleshooting, and leadership skills, with experience overseeing remote teams. They should excel at data analysis, process improvement, and mentoring teams. The role requires excellent communication, the ability to resolve operational issues, and a results-driven approach. Can you see yourself here.• Assist in the preparation of budgets and perform cost/benefit analysis of specific programs; review financial data on an on-going basis to ensure conformance with established guidelines.
• May recruit, monitor, evaluate, and manage various program activities with related budgets to ensure program/contract compliance of goals and objectives; implement corrective measures as required.
• May direct, train, assign, and evaluate subordinate clerical and technical personnel in the performance of routine tasks.
• May develop and review departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal legislation, regulations and directives.
• May compose selected correspondence, reports and directives for use in public hearings and meetings with state officials.
• Assist in developing, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining a long range public education and awareness plan encompassing issues and the missions of the department; encourage members of the community to develop skills needed to improve their quality of life and/or become self-sufficient and involved.
• Assist in conducting community needs assessments; motivate and organize members of low income communities and diverse cultural communities to get involved in poverty and related neighborhood issues; serve as facilitator for the development of issue forums; represent the department at public hearings and community functions; perform public speaking activities; coordinate and/or participate in special community events and public recognition programs as it relates to each program and open house activities.
• Assist in data gathering and analysis to show measurable differences in program success. OPTION IEducation: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in communications, English, social behavioral sciences, or a closely related field to the assignment. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on the basis of one year of full-time experience equaling 30 semester or 45-quarter units of the required experience.
Experience: One year of performing community organization/ development work, which included disseminating information to internal and/or external audiences through a variety of communications media.
OPTION IIEducation: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in communications, English, social behavioral sciences, or a closely related field to the assignment. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on the basis of one year of full-time experience equaling 30 semester or 45-quarter units of the required experience.
Experience: One year of progressively responsible experience in program analysis, budget parameters, economic analysis, and/or urban planning.
OPTION IIIEducation: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in communications, English, social behavioral sciences, or a closely related field to the assignment. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on the basis of one year of full-time experience equaling 30 semester or 45-quarter units of the required experience.
Experience: Two years of responsible experience in the development and/or implementation of local, state or federal governmental human service programs, which must have included some responsibility for community relations' work and program development.
