ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Senior Tendering Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead tendering activities for high-profile projects and play a pivotal role in our growth strategy.
As the Senior Tendering Manager, you will work directly under the Head of Sales and Proposals, overseeing and driving all tendering activities across multiple regions and segments. You will lead a team of tendering professionals to deliver competitive, high-quality proposals that meet our client's needs while ensuring alignment with Linxon's strategic goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What will you do!
Manage the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality submissions for power and infrastructure projects, including substations, rail electrification systems, and renewable energy solutions.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales and Proposals to develop and execute tendering strategies that maximize competitiveness and profitability.
Oversee the preparation of technical, commercial, and financial proposals, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, industry standards, and company objectives.
Drive innovation and cost optimization in proposals, introducing value-engineered solutions and competitive pricing strategies.
Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of tender submissions.
Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to enhance collaboration and secure competitive offers.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with tenders, ensuring that contract terms and conditions are clearly defined and appropriately managed.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer requirements to inform tendering approaches and maintain a competitive edge.
Mentor and develop the tendering team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
Experience in tendering, proposals, or project management within the power, infrastructure, or rail industries.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong commercial acumen, with experience in preparing and negotiating complex contracts.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in power infrastructure and rail electrification.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
