Staff Accountant (Finance)
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Process payroll for all CARTI employees.Administer all aspects of payroll for all CARTI employees.Post payroll journal entries and accrual entriesParticipate in the annual retirement audit.Perform monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis and collaborate with departments.Perform account reconciliations as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
Bachelors degree Accounting Degree in Accounting or related field.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Minimum of two years overall experience in general ledger accounting experience with at least one year payroll experience. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience working with complex spreadsheets and pivot tables.Ability to meet assigned deadlines.Strong analytical skills.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
