Maintenance Planner (Maintenance)
Primary Purpose
The primary role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts, machine time and labor.
Primary Duties
· Defines and deliver through the year the Maintenance Expense Budget in terms of the Maintenance Master Schedule. A total expense from 2 to 12 USD Million.
· Defines the right stock of spare parts in the plant to guarantee a proper preventive program and quick response in case of failures. The value of the store room is within 1.6 and 9 million US dollars.
· Prioritizes maintenance activities based on Risk assessments and budget constraints
· Guarantees there is a calendar of interventions which is accepted by all Operations Managers
· Ensures operations function receives the prompt, efficient and quality service from the maintenance function in order to operate at a high level of efficiency.
· Coordinates between the operations and maintenance organizations; maintains appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results or work done.
· Accurately define and estimate work requests.
· Tracks KPI's such as MTBF / MTTR and provides ideas toward solutions to reduce breakdowns and improve repair times
· Ability to train maintenance team and production team on BAE's, TAE's for improved knowledge levels of TPM activities.
· Properly prepare and distribute meaningful control reports.
· Measures PM Compliance, reporting to Plant management
· Ensures work order maturity and manages the work order backlog
· Define annual budget for maintenance based on all job plans
· Converts the Maintenance Master Schedule into monthly outlooks for operations and Production Control to agree into the month´s interventions scheme. Apply risk assessment to balance Maintenance execution and Budget.
· Report all Maintenance KPIs
· Analyzes data trends such as top 5 downtime causes, breakdowns and proposes solutions to improve overall OEE, availability.
· Can input purchase orders for spare parts and purchasing needs for the maintenance teams and mainly as a backup to store room buyer functions.
· Works with vendors to identify replacement parts, cost savings opportunities, etc
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree preferred or 2 year degree with 4 years minimum experience in planning role
· Degree required preferably from a technical discipline field of engineering / maintenance
· Proficient in computer skills with MS Office, especially excel, powerpoint, MS Project
· Works well with employees at all levels and is viewed as a resource and leader
· Prefer 2 years of experience in maintenance management/TPM methodology.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clear and concise information to varied levels within the organization
