ROLE OVERVIEW: Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform clerical accounting procedures accurately and on time. Maintain accurate financial records or account books, make standard calculations, etc. May also perform activities in the AR, AP, billing, and/or collections area. Requirements: Typically possesses a high school education or equivalent minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Manufacturing background preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares and distributes routine production, accounting, and administrative reports.
- Assists with bank, inter-company, and quarterly reconciliations.
- Collects, organizes, and maintains database information.
- Enters data, compiles information, and reconciles discrepancies.
- Interacts with plants to ensure proper general ledger accounting.
- Maintains filing systems and accounting records.
- Incorporates and maintains safety observances, including but not limited to the use of all PPE, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.
- May fill in for, assist, or interface with other plant support functions including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer invoicing and credits, customer service/order entry, proofreading orders, shipping, receiving, inventory, ordering supplies, payroll, other HR duties, and receiving visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or equivalent. Associate's Degree preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of accounting and administrative experience required
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office software, ERP Systems, computer operation, use of common office equipment, and administrative accounting and bookkeeping practices and procedures.
