Custodian (Project Management)
Description
The janitorial role is to clean all facility areas routinely. This individual should have a general knowledge of proper cleaning practices to ensure the safety and cleanliness of all surfaces, restrooms, and trash disposal.
Responsibilities and Duties
Sweeps and mops floors in all common and restricted areas daily
Cleans all employee bathrooms daily, including cleaning toilet and sink surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash, and restocking paper towels and toilet paper. Cleans hard surfaces periodically to remove dust. Behaves in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamwork. Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains a safe working environment, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring proper storage of tools and equipment when not in use, using proper signage while working, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to identify cleaning and chemical supplies, to read and understand Hazard Communication Safety Data Sheets (SDS), to understand proper applications of chemicals and general cleaning supplies, and to frequently handle and properly dispose of these products.
Must be self-motivated and proactive about identifying areas for efficiency and improvement
Must be committed to ensuring a secure facility and ensure all staff comply with established safety and security procedures.
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours per day
Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
Must be able to climb a ladder, kneel, stoop, and bend at the waist regularly
Visual acuity needed for reading screens and fine print
Workplace Environment
Building maintenance environment, indoor, consisting of exposure to seasonal temperature changes
May be exposed to high places, harsh cleaning chemicals, and loud noises
Consistent moderate to high background noise levels due to machinery, environmental systems, and fans
Exposure to cannabis odor
Exposure to skin contact with plant resins, to which some individuals may be allergic (PPE provided)
Exposure to moderate heat and humidity in bloom rooms
