Seasonal Summer Camp Coordinator (Biotech)
General Statement:
The Summer Camp Coordinator supports the Fleet Mission Statement and Visitor Experience Philosophy by providing customer service and support for educational programming.
The role involves teaching Fleet Science Center's Youth Programs and contributing to curriculum development. Additionally, it entails collaborating with the Youth Engagement Manager to create and implement engaging STEM programs, such as offsite Summer Day Camps.
The Summer Camp Coordinator will handle administrative duties and assist in classrooms for Summer Camps at UC San Diego, San Diego City College and/or Fleet Science Center. This position will primarily operate offsite during Summer Camp and provide support for Summer Camp Operations at the Fleet Science Center.
Position Duration: April 21, 2025, to August 12, 2025
Summer Camp Dates: June 2, 2025, to August 8, 2025.
Spring Weekly Hours: 20-25 Hours
Summer Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Reports to: Youth Engagement Manager

Physical Requirements of this Position:
Light Work: Position involves sitting, standing, and/or walking. Position requires ability to frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, and otherwise move objects and occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects.
