Safety & Regulatory Manager (Engineering)
As the Safety and Regulatory Manger, your responsibility is to monitor and provide a safe working environment for all Schreiber Partners, customers, and outside contractors. A successful safety program will be accomplished through coordination and implementation of Federal, State, and local regulations and by building a “safety comes first” attitude among all Schreiber Partners. As Safety and Regulatory Manager, it will be the responsibility to assist the Safety Director in managing the programs and be a resource to keep pace with the continually changing regulatory requirements and to conduct audits at plant locations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role has a strong emphasis on managing insurance-related aspects of workplace safety, including workers' compensation, liability insurance claims and risk mitigation strategies.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 3 days onsite at Home Office with flexibility to work the remainder remotely/from home.

What You Will Do:
Be a Consultant to Schreiber facilities in the areas of Safety, Regulatory compliance for OSHA and selected areas of EPA regulations. This would also include being a resource (as needed) in the required training of Schreiber partners in these areas.
Learn other regulatory programs as needed such as Process Safety Management, Risk Management Programs.
Stay current on regulations of OSHA and selected areas of EPA to keep Schreiber Facilities management informed of changes. Attend required training to maintain required certifications. Read daily regulatory updates to accomplish this.
Lead auditing each facility annually or on a pre-defined schedule. Help leaders/partners at each facility recognize areas that are unsafe and/or do not meet regulatory requirements. Review incident reports and ensure leaders have identified root causes.
Audit other facilities leased by Schreiber Foods, Inc. to make sure that the working environment is safe.
Instruct plant leaders in “at risk” behaviors and help them identify at risk behaviors during observations during plant audits.
Be a resource to Home Office facilities management to correct unsafe conditions/regulatory requirements and follow through to make sure they are corrected in a timely manner. This will include identifying ways to reduce workers compensation costs through continuous improvement.
Be a resource to Schreiber Foods' International Plants on an as needed basis, for safety and compliance issues.
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's in Occupational Safety and Health OR Multi-faceted EHS Certifications
Creation of safety programs; conduct plant audits to identify regulatory improvement opportunities, ways to reduce potential injuries, and convey to plant leadership, generate reports of audit findings.
Minimum of ten years Understand Occupational Safety & Health Standards, Life Safety Codes, Ergonomics and other safety related programs. Leadership, Communications, Negotiation, Problem Solving.
Ability to travel 40%
