Position Summary: We are seeking a Field Geomatics Manager I to oversee field survey and CAD operations, ensuring efficient collection, processing, and analysis of geospatial data for construction projects. This role involves managing, training, and supervising field teams, ensuring safety, quality, and timely project completion while maintaining communication with customers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise field survey teams, CAD teams, and subcontractors, managing performance, schedules, and logistics.
Train and mentor staff, ensuring high morale, safety, and quality standards.
Provide troubleshooting support and ensure mastery of Trimble Survey equipment, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and related software.
Manage GPS/GIS equipment, including inventory, maintenance, and software updates.
Enforce safety compliance and quality workmanship during construction phases.
Collaborate with project managers to resolve survey-related issues and ensure project success.
Conduct site audits, final walkthroughs, and investigate client warranty requests.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
5 years of experience in solar or civil construction, including 2 years in project management and crew management.
Proficiency in Trimble GPS/GIS equipment, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Google Earth, and Salesforce.

Physical Requirements:
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lifting up to 60 lbs., and performing tasks in remote, rugged environments.
Ability to work long hours and travel 80% of the time, including overnight stays.
Work Environment:
Primarily field-based with exposure to extreme weather conditions, noise, and physically demanding tasks.
