Accountant II (Finance)
The Accountant II performs higher-level accounting tasks, including reconciliations, financial analysis, and compliance activities. This role is responsible for overseeing complex accounting functions and ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies.
Job Class: Full Time
Hiring Range: $75,000 - $80,000/year
Work Schedule: M-F 7:30am - 4pm with some flexibility

Essential Duties
- Maintains an accurate General Ledger through ongoing journal entry completion, month and year-end support and reconciliation of designated balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Performs integrations and detailed reconciliations of revenue and payment systems.
- Conducts audits of and ensures compliance with financial policies to maintain financial reporting accuracy.
- Evaluates, proposes and leads updates and improvements to Finance Department processes.
- Provides financial expertise and resolves complex accounting issues through excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting or equivalent work experience required.
- 3 years' hands on experience in general accounting required.
- 2 years' experience reconciling activity within an integrated accounting system on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis required.
- 2 years' experience with GAAP and ability to apply those principles to internal processes required.
- 2 years' working with integrated accounts payable systems required.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and web enabled applications required.
