Senior Facilities Maintenance Specialist 2 (Biotech)

The Sr. Facilities Maintenance Specialist 2 supports Lonza Engineering and Maintenance activities through technical expertise. Act as the SME on governing department SOPs to ensure quality compliance. Collaborate with engineering to remediate reactive issues. Act as the link between maintenance departments and project teams to ensure capital improvements are smoothly integrated with ongoing engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise for reactive maintenance activities and act as the interface between maintenance departments and plant engineering in ongoing equipment remediation efforts.
Provide technical expertise during start-up activities of the new manufacturing building and Central Utilities Building (CUB).
Accountable to maintenance supervisor to generate deviations and lead Quality investigations.
Collaborate with Engineering to initiate and execute change controls.
Support internal/external customer requests by responding to audit needs and accountable with maintenance supervisor to ensure department is audit ready at all times.
Contribute to implementation and integration of department relevant capital improvement projects.
Accountable with maintenance supervisor for department adherence to governing quality SOPs and guides the development of relevant quality standards.
Own and edit documentation pertaining to department operation and compliance.
Provide SME input on applicable automation systems to include BAS and DeltaV and oversee department utilization and compliance.
Key Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years' experience in a maintenance-related environment.
Can utilize troubleshooting & hand tools.
The ability to learn to read complex mechanical drawings.
Basic computer skills are required.
The ability to comprehend and apply Standard Operating Procedures on a continual basis in all facets of the job.
A working knowledge of shop math, ability to read and write.
Basic mechanical knowledge.
