Nobu Del Coronado will offer over 3,700 square feet of stunning indoor and al fresco oceanfront dining space, including an outdoor covered patio dining with a pagoda bar and dedicated sushi bar. Nobu Del Coronado will also spotlight Nobu-signature dishes including the iconic Black Miso Cod and Yellowtail Jalapeño, as well as Nobu's world-renowned sushi, plus locally inspired dishes and cocktails.

Pay Rate: The pay range for this role is $19.72 - $23.20 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?
As a Pastry Cook at Nobu, you will be responsible for creating, preparing, producing, and baking an exquisite selection of pastry items such as breads, rolls, breakfast pastries, and desserts in alignment with our high culinary standards. You will contribute to the overall guest satisfaction by ensuring each pastry item is made to perfection, maintaining consistency, and upholding Nobu's renowned quality. Your role will require creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of both classic and innovative pastry techniques.
Position Summary:
• Pastry Preparation & Production: Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastry items such as bread, rolls, breakfast pastries, and desserts following Nobu's established recipes and presentation standards.
• Quality Control: Ensure all pastry items meet the required quality, taste, texture, and appearance, maintaining a high standard of consistency.
• Recipe Execution & Development: Follow standardized recipes and procedures. Contribute to new recipe ideas and seasonal offerings to enhance the dessert and bakery menu.
• Guest Experience: Play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences by delivering fresh, delicious, and visually appealing pastries and desserts.
• Stock and Inventory Management: Manage ingredients for pastry preparation, ensuring all necessary items are available, fresh, and stored properly.
• Sanitation & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized work area, strictly following food safety and sanitation guidelines. Ensure proper storage and handling of food products.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen team members, including chefs, sous chefs, and front-of-house staff, to ensure smooth operations and optimal guest satisfaction.
• Special Requests: Prepare custom pastry items for special events or guest requests, ensuring attention to detail and customization.
