Plant Accountant - Carlisle

The Plant Accountant supports the Carlisle, PA finance team and is primarily responsible for providing analysis of key plant performance metrics, sharing insights with plant operations and leadership regarding performance trends, and ensuring policy compliance with monthly financial reporting.

This role can be based in Carlisle, PA (preferred) or Arden Hills, MN.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct month-end responsibilities including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and management reports.
• Prepare and assess fixed asset capital requests.
• Prepare financial and operating metrics for the plant leadership team to drive continuous improvement in plant costs.
• Code invoices and Investigate and resolve discrepancies. Other duties as necessary.

Experience & Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing accounting preferred.
• Experience with Fixed Assets and Month End closing highly preferred.
• Must have a strong aptitude for numbers, be well organized, and be able to demonstrate proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JDE and other ERP systems.
• Sound understanding of GAAP.

Competencies-Skills:

• Knowledge of ERP software highly preferred.
• MS Office with intermediate skills in Excel.
• Highly detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Effectively communicates with all levels of the organization. Demonstrates excellent oral, and written communication skills.

Salary Range: $59,840 - $89,760
