Mechanic - Electrician (Maintenance)
JOB SUMMARY (primary function of job):
Troubleshoot and maintain PLC,SwitchGear,and electrical equipment in an automated enviroment. Assist other mechanics on general maintenance of Feedmill equipment.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB FUNCTIONS (key responsibilities of the job):
> Change out drives and set up for process.
> Maintain 480 Volt 3 phase equipment including softstarts and motors up to 800 hp
> Calibrate scale equipment such as impact scales and flow meters
> Insrtumetation work such as installing and adjusting current transducers,level ,and speed switches
> Lighting system maintenance such as changing MH and HPS lights and ballast
> PLC maintenace,troubleshooting,and repair
> Hook up PC equipment ,open and clean PC's as required
> Run conduit ,size wire and breakers and install as needed
> Change relays ,contactors,and breakers as needed
> Minor programing of Allen-Bradly SLC 500 series such as adding timers to current logic and such
> Troubleshoot and repair temp swithes and thermocouples
> Assist other mechanics in rebuild and repair of process equipment other than the electrical equipment
> such as grain elevators,conveyors,air compressors,boiler,etc.
> Check and maintain boiler safeties safeties and controls
> Troubleshoot HVAC controls
> Perform jobs that require a multicrafed individual such as mechanics,fabrication,pipefitting,millwright,etc.
> Other duties as assigned by supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (educational and job experience requirements):
> 5 years experience as an Electronic Technician
> 2 year associates degree in Electricity-Electronics

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Heavy lifting over 75 lbs.

Outdoor work required
