Your Role
Tetra Tech Technical Services is seeking an Emergency Management Planning & Training Professional with experience in local, state, or federal emergency management and emergency preparedness/response/recovery programs, to assist with various emergency preparedness, planning, training, exercise, and other related homeland security/emergency management/coast guard services.
The individual selected for this position will be responsible for working independently. Travel, work in client offices, oral presentations and training, and written report preparation will be required. The preferred candidate will be able to manage project schedules and budgets. The primary responsibility will be to support emergency management, public health, planning, training, and program development activities.
Primary activities will occur in Ohio and the Midwest.
Qualifications
Must be a United States Citizen.
At least 20 years of emergency planning and emergency management/public health experience with a local, state, federal or other emergency management/public health entity is preferred.
Specific desired experience with emergency and/or public health planning, preparedness, response, recovery, or training activities is preferred.
Must have strong oral and written communication, client relations, and project management skills.
Skills
The ideal candidate will posses/be::
Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Advanced degrees and additional certifications or training are a plus.
Recent experience and certifications for government emergency planning, training, and exercise activities - specifically with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) are critical.
Work Environment
Work will take place in an office environment, with occasional travel to local client offices.
